Neurotoxicity

Some substances have the ability to damage and destroy the neurological tissue of the body.  These substances known as neurotoxins can bio accumulate in the body. This can lead to the damage and death of the neurons which communicate with the brain and other parts of the nervous system. Functioning of the brain and the entire nervous system of the body can be affected.  This can mean serious damage with debilitating symptoms to any part of the body.

Some exposure to neurotoxins damages the neurons, while other neurotoxins cause death of nerve tissue and permanent nervous system damage.  Exposure time, particular toxin, and dosage amount affect the seriousness of the neurotoxin exposure.

These toxins which produce neurotoxicity causing nervous system damage include:

  • Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, iron, arsenic, lead
  • Molds and mycotoxins
  • Certain drugs
  • Drug abuse
  • Pesticides / Herbicides
  • Food additives
  • Industrial or cleaning solvents
  • Chemotherapy
  • Exposure to poisonous plants
  • Oxygen radicals
  • Cosmetics and implant materials
  • Natural gas
  • Chlorinated Compounds

Symptoms of neurotoxicity:

  • Limb weakness
  • Loss of memory
  • Loss of vision
  • Uncontrollable obsessive and compulsive behaviors
  • Delusions
  • Headache
  • Neurodegenative diseases
  • Autonomic nervous system dysfunction
  • Numbness and tingling
  • Depression
  • Cognitive degeneration

The Environmental Health Center-Dallas evaluates the possibility that toxic exposure to the following is related to symptoms of neurotoxicity:

  • Mold and mycotoxins
  • Pesticides
  • Chemicals
  • Heavy metals
  • Neurotransmitter imbalances
  • Food and food additives
  • Cosmetics or cosmetic surgery
  • Implant surgery
  • Medications

The SPECT Scan and the Heart Rate Variability Test can assist in determining the cause and effect of neurotoxin exposure.

The Environmental Health Center-Dallas treats the cause of neurotoxicity with:

  • IV therapy
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Deep heat chamber chemical depuration therapy
  • Skin testing and treatment of neurotransmitters
  • Skin testing of implant materials, medications, metals, food additives, chemicals
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Bio Regulation Therapy
  • Environmental counseling
  • Autogenous vaccines
  • Immune boosters and modulators

The Environmental Health Center-Dallas will determine and treat the cause of specific neurotoxicity.
